
Our founding story
Our founder, Jasmine was born in Iran. At 18, she arrived to Phoenix, Arizona in pursuit of education and freedom.
She was enamored by the variety of packaged foods and snacks available in the market and began eating more processed foods. She quickly noticed changes in how she felt, physically and mentally. Still drawn to the convenience and taste of these new options, she started an exercise regimen to counterbalance the effects. While it helped, it didn’t bring her back to the way she used to feel. That’s when she realized she needed to return to the way that her parents ate—fresh vegetables, healthy fats and antioxidant-rich foods, while avoiding all gut disruptors. A clean and nutrient-rich way of eating.
As she married and raised children, she continued to see the benefits of traditional Persian culinary methods—a collective wisdom influenced by Persian traditional medicine, practiced for over a thousand years.
Balancing a career, kids, and life limited time in the kitchen, so nutrient-rich and clean sauces became a shortcut to creating delicious and healthy meals every day. Over a year of food science testing and development lead to these innovative products. Ancient methods formulated for our fast paste contemporary lifestyle.
Leemu was born from this blend of creativity and necessity—a brand rooted in timeless wisdom and tradition, formulated for modern living. It’s a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the vibrant flavors that connect us to our past while inspiring our future.
