The story starts with frustration!
Our founder never bought dressings or sauces because of the additives and unnecessary ingredients they contained. She believed that adding sauces packed with salt, highly processed emulsifiers, sugar, and unhealthy oils was a disgrace to any dish they were poured on! So, she made her own sauces for her family. They were clean, simple, pure, and free of seed oils, added sugars, and xanthan gum (a common thickening agent believed to be a gut disruptor). She also wanted these sauces to be packed with antioxidant-rich goodness. Over the years, she perfected the ratios and flavors to complement her family’s contemporary palate and busy lifestyle. Her teenage kids and their friends loved them and parents asked for their own personal bottles.
That’s how Leemu was born!
